Tax Preparer – Full Time

🕒 Monday – Thursday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to assist clients with filing accurate and timely tax returns. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in tax regulations and experienced in using QuickBooks to manage financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file individual and small business tax returns

• Review financial records, such as income statements and documentation of expenditures

• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and state tax laws

• Identify potential tax credits and deductions to maximize client savings

• Maintain accurate records and client confidentiality

• Use QuickBooks to organize and verify financial information

• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and explain tax filings

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a tax preparer (individual and/or business)

• Proficiency with QuickBooks and tax preparation software

• Strong understanding of current tax codes and laws

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

This is a full-time, on-site position in Punta Gorda, FL, with a set schedule of Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
