Job Duties:

The Process Technician – Masking Department is responsible for preparing parts for the coating process through precise and consistent masking techniques. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to perform detailed, repetitive tasks with accuracy. The position primarily involves the careful application of tape and masking materials to protect designated areas of parts prior to coating.

This is a largely sedentary role focused on quality preparation and process adherence. The Process Technician must follow established work instructions and SOPs to ensure parts are properly masked and ready to move through production efficiently.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform highly detailed, repetitive work
• Good manual dexterity and steady hand coordination
• Ability to follow work instructions, SOPs, and quality standards precisely
• Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent productivity and accuracy
• Ability to lift and maneuver masked tools weighing approximately 20–25 pounds
• Comfortable working in a sedentary position for extended periods of time
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with production team members
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all Environmental Health and Safety procedures
• Understanding of the impact of process accuracy on downstream production and quality

• No direct exposure to chemicals in this role

Education/Experience: 

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior manufacturing, production, or hands-on assembly experience preferred, but not required
• Experience in detailed, repetitive work environments is a plus
