A growing farm equipment manufacturing company is seeking a motivated Shipping / Shop Hand to join our team. This is a hands-on position that combines shipping, assembly, welding, and general shop support. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and assist with fabrication projects
• Read packing slips and prepare shipments according to customer specifications
• Package and palletize products accurately for shipment
• Assemble farm equipment components and parts
• Assist with painting and paint booth operations
• Operate a hoist and other shop equipment safely
• Move materials and finished products throughout the facility
• Support multiple areas of the shop as needed, including learning additional fabrication equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements

• MIG welding experience required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and assembly skills
• Ability to read and follow packing slips and work instructions
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to distinguish colors and read labels, markings, and shipping information accurately
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis
• Must wear steel-toed boots/shoes
• Willingness to work in various areas of the shop and learn new equipment
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test for paint booth work
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience
• Agricultural or farm equipment background
• Manufacturing or fabrication experience
• Experience operating material handling equipment
