Patient Access Representative

Located in Ames, IA

Salary: $17-25.01

Express Employment has partnered with a local Webster City, IA company seeking an experienced Patient Access Representative to join their team! The ideal candidate for this role should have an upbeat attitude and must be highly organized. 

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, with a pay rate starting at $17/hr, dependent on experience. 

Environment: 

• 1st shift, Monday-Friday schedule 8:00am-4:30pm
• This is a medical environment; candidates should have prior healthcare experience and be familiar with medical terminology
• Business casual clothes are preferred

Duties:

• Register patient and gather patient information
• Review prior authorizations
• Collect patient co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance. Receives payments and issue receipts
• Phones, phone transfers, friendly customer service, take accurate messages, scanning

Skills/Experience Required:

• Computer and typing skills. Microsoft Office applications
• Must have prior documentation experience and an ability to follow procedures/protocols
• High attention to detail and an ability to work in a stressful environment is a must!
