Truck Assembler/Upfitter (Marshfield)

Located in Marshfield, WI

Salary: 22-28/hr

As a Heavy Duty Truck Assembler / Up-Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and customizing commercial trucks and equipment. This includes installing components such as dump beds, cranes, toolboxes, hydraulics, wiring systems, and more—based on engineering schematics or customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble heavy-duty truck components, including chassis modifications, crane mounts, toolboxes, and other auxiliary systems
• Perform up-fitting work by installing PTOs, hydraulic systems, flatbeds, dump bodies, and custom equipment
• Install wiring and electrical components, including lights, switches, sensors, and relays
• Read blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics to ensure accurate installations
• Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic work on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Perform quality control checks to ensure all components meet manufacturer and DOT safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of labor, parts used, and modifications made in digital work order systems
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company procedures, using PPE as required
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and team members on custom truck builds

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in truck assembly, automotive repair, equipment upfitting, or related mechanical work
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, welders, torque wrenches, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Physical ability to lift 50–75 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in various physical positions
• Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
• Welding certification or ASE certifications are a plus but not required
• Must supply your own basic tool set
• Comfortable using diagnostic computers and web-based training tools

• Must be physically able to perform all job duties without restrictions
