We are looking to fill another position for our client in their sanitation department. The position pays minimum wage, but if candidates have extensive experience, we can discuss a higher salary.

We need someone that can take pistons and pumps apart along with knowing how to deep clean tanks, drums and totes. Someone that has worked in a cosmetic contract manufacturer is preferred. 

Must be bilingual English and Spanish

Job Summary

The position is for the first shift from 6:0 AM to 2:30PM, Monday-Friday.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Sanitation Technician to join our contract manufacturing team. The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the manufacturing facility to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of manufacturing equipment, production lines, work areas, and common areas according to established sanitation schedules and procedures.
  • Follow proper cleaning protocols using approved cleaning agents, disinfectants, and sanitation tools.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, or relevant authority), and company hygiene standards.
  • Document all sanitation activities accurately in logs and reports.
  • Identify and report any sanitation issues, equipment malfunctions, or potential contamination risks to supervisors promptly.
  • Assist with preparation for audits and inspections by maintaining thorough sanitation records.
  • Handle waste disposal according to facility guidelines and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety policies.
  • Support cross-functional teams as needed to maintain overall plant cleanliness and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in sanitation within a manufacturing or food production environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, cleaning techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Physical ability to perform manual cleaning tasks, including lifting, standing for long periods, and working in varying temperature conditions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or overtime, if required.
