Collections Specialist

Salary: up to $20/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Collections Specialist to join a local company in Tyler, TX! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas who have openings they are looking to fill with great talent we find for them!

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Recommend, implement, and oversee billing and collections policies and procedures.

• Coordinate with billing and collections staff to address and resolve account issues.

• Verify billing accounts with accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accurate posting of payments.

• Perform collections activities including follow-up calls and account resolution.

• Maintain a professional, cooperative, and positive attitude with patients, coworkers, and management.

• Ensure collection operations comply with federal, state, and payer regulations.

• Identify and process bad debt write-offs and accounts receivable adjustments.

• Maintain high standards of compliance and ethical practices.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the administrator.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred).

• 1+ year of collections or billing experience preferred.

• Strong computer skills required; knowledge of office machines preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with billing requirements and processes.

• Light typing skills preferred.

• Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
