Cashier Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist with locating items if needed
• Accurately ring up sales using a cash register or point-of-sale system
• Accept payments via cash, credit, debit, check, vouchers, and coupons
• Count and return correct change, and issue receipts for all transactions
• Bag, wrap, or box items as needed to ensure customer convenience
• Handle returns, exchanges, rain checks, and refunds professionally
• Resolve minor customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary
• Keep the cashier area neat, organized, and well-stocked
• Monitor pricing and report any discrepancies
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and honesty while handling cash
