A respected local company in Joliet is looking to hire a Rough Carpenter with delivery experience immediately. This is a hands-on role that combines skilled carpentry work with client-facing delivery duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build custom crates and boxes for machinery, furniture, and irregularly sized items
• Load, deliver, and unload shipments using a non-CDL box truck
• Lift and move heavy furniture and materials safely
• Engage professionally with clients at homes or businesses during deliveries
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Experience with rough carpentry or woodworking
• Must be able to drive a non-CDL box truck
• Comfortable lifting heavy furniture
• Must be personable, reliable, and customer-service oriented
• Ability to communicate clearly in English
• Must pass a background check

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• Typical shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Overtime available based on workload
• Schedule can vary slightly depending on employee needs

Pay:

$25–$30 per hour, based on experience
Temp-to-hire opportunity after 12 weeks
