Diesel Mechanic/Mechanic Helper

 Full time |$18-32/Hr. Maurice, LA

 

We are hiring a full-time skilled Diesel Mechanic or diesel mechanic helper to work on concrete and over-the-road trucks. This company is willing to train but candidate does need to have some experience and knowledge in mechanic work. 

Schedule:

• M-F 8-5, occasional Saturdays-40-50 hours a week! 

 

Payrate:

• $18-20/hour for Helper
• $28-$32.00/hour for Mechanic

 

Responsibilities/Duties: 

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines on heavy-duty trucks

• Perform routine maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems

• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards

• Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues

• Replace or repair worn or damaged parts (tires, axles, fuel systems, etc.)
