Job Summary:The Human Resources Generalist provides administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth and compliant functioning of the HR department at designated site(s).
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate the seasonal H-2A program, ensuring compliance with program requirements related to housing, transportation, groceries, timekeeping, vehicles, documentation, and internal policies from arrival in the U.S. through return to the home country.
Respond to routine employee questions regarding standard HR policies and procedures; escalate complex issues to senior HR staff or management as needed.
Assist in planning and coordinating special events, including company-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday celebrations, and retirements.
Manage facility-related needs for the site by coordinating maintenance, housekeeping, security, meal services, and other site support services.
Perform day-to-day HR activities including supporting disciplinary actions, handling employee relations matters and investigations, coordinating performance and talent management processes, and assisting with health, safety, training, and employee engagement programs.
Act as a point of contact for employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring sensitive or complex issues appropriately.
Participate in employee relations activities such as disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Support additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
Implement and manage the internal H-2A program across North America in line with budget, guidelines, and strategic objectives; assist with immigration processes such as visas and green cards.
Support Global Learning and Development initiatives by managing course uploads, tracking completions, and assisting with program rollouts in the North American region.
Assist with recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates for select positions; work closely with managers to understand hiring needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of quickly learning the company’s HRIS and talent management systems.
