Shipping and General Laborer

Located in Ashland, MA

Our client, a manufacturer of hydraulic components, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and General Laborer to join their team in Ashland.

The ideal candidate will assist in daily parcel packaging, shipping documentation, and various hands-on tasks including painting, crating, and basic mechanical assembly

Pay: $20.00-$23.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and ship packages using UPS, FedEx, and other shipping platforms

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments

• Build wooden crates for specialized product and equipment shipments

• Paint units according to customer specifications or supervisor instructions

• Perform inventory tasks such as restocking parts, conducting cycle counts, and making adjustments in the ERP system

• Assist with basic mechanical assembly, product conversions, and plumbing tasks (willing to train)

• Operate a forklift (training provided)

• Assist with other general labor duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with shipping and receiving is a plus

• Comfortable using shipping software and basic computer systems

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day

• Willingness to be trained on forklift operation, basic mechanical assembly, and blueprint reading

• Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
