We’re hiring a Lead Plate Maker for a well-established manufacturer in Gresham, OR. This direct hire position plays a critical role in supporting production through accurate plate-making, job bag and proof management, and coordination with operations and scheduling. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, a quality-driven mindset, and leadership potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and quality-check printing plates to support plant production
• Manage Epson proofs and job bag organization
• Monitor hot folders for plate files and output exact repeat plates from server
• Maintain and clean plating equipment to plant standards
• Communicate with scheduling and operations to support production schedules
• Maintain supply inventory and coordinate reordering as needed
• Report unsafe conditions and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Follow and help develop SOPs and process improvements
• Stay up to date with new product releases and assist in training others

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in plate making, prepress, or print production preferred
• Strong understanding of printing/converting processes
• Comfortable leading processes and organizing team tasks
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable performing equipment maintenance
• Competent computer skills; SAP, Microsoft Office, and prepress software knowledge preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
