Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our legal team. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and legal support to ensure the efficient operation of the legal department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and draft legal documents including correspondence, contracts, affidavits, and pleadings
• Maintain and organize legal files, documents, and records (both physical and electronic)
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case-related information
• Schedule appointments, court hearings, and meetings for attorneys
• File legal documents with courts or government agencies
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court officials under attorney supervision
• Manage and update case files and legal databases
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and case management
• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submissions
• Handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion

Qualifications:

• Paralegal Certificate preferred; Bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar role
• Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document formatting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• High level of professionalism and attention to detail

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Familiarity with e-filing systems and legal billing software
• Bilingual skills are a plus
