• Diagnosis:

  Using diagnostic tools and technical manuals, diesel mechanics identify mechanical and electrical problems in diesel engines and related systems. 

   
• Repair and Maintenance:

  They repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering mechanisms, and electrical systems. 

   
• Preventative Maintenance:

  They perform routine maintenance like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. 

   
• Record Keeping:

  They maintain detailed records of all services and repairs performed on vehicles.
