We are looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded in both plumbing and electrical work, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a commitment to resident satisfaction. This role is essential to keeping our property safe, functional, and attractive. This position offers a potential growth path to Maintenance Manager for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in residential units and common areas, with a focus on plumbing (toilets, sinks, water heaters, drains) and electrical systems (lighting, outlets, breakers)

• Respond to service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner

• Complete unit turns, including minor drywall repair, painting, and appliance hookup

• Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems, utilities, and mechanical equipment

• Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues independently

• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies

• Ensure maintenance areas and equipment rooms are kept clean, safe, and secure

• Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs when needed

• Communicate effectively with property management staff and residents

• Exhibit leadership and initiative, with a willingness to grow into a Maintenance Manager role

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade certification preferred

• Minimum 2 years of experience in apartment or residential maintenance, with strong plumbing and electrical skills

• Basic knowledge of appliances and general carpentry

• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset

• Must be able to work independently and handle after-hours maintenance emergencies when scheduled

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
