We are seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our operations team. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on yard machinery and equipment, including forklifts, granulators, and other heavy-duty machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on repair experience, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on forklifts, granulators, and other yard machinery
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, replacing or repairing parts as necessary
Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate service records and communicate maintenance needs with supervisors
Assist in the operation of equipment as needed to support yard functions
Ensure all repairs meet company and safety standards
Follow all safety protocols, wearing proper PPE at all times
Support other yard activities as required
Previous experience as a maintenance technician, mechanic, or related field required
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Experience with forklifts, heavy machinery, or industrial equipment preferred
Basic electrical knowledge is a plus
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, dust)
Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving equipment and repair needs
