Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a Cook for a valued client. The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals in accordance with prescribed diets and patient preferences under the direction of the Food Service Manager or Registered Dietitian. This role ensures food is prepared safely, attractively, and in compliance with all regulatory and sanitation standards.
Prepare, season, and cook meals according to recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines.
Ensure all meals meet nutritional standards and special dietary requirements (e.g., low sodium, diabetic, allergen-free).
Maintain portion control and food quality to minimize waste.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., ovens, mixers, slicers, steamers).
Monitor food temperatures and ensure safe food handling procedures are followed at all times.
Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
Follow proper cleaning and sanitation procedures for kitchen tools, equipment, and work areas.
Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify management of shortages or spoilage.
Comply with hospital infection control, safety, and health regulations.
Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education as required.
Pay: $15.00/HR
Schedule: 5:00am - 1:30pm ; Sunday - Thursday
Minimum of 1-2 years cooking experience
High School diploma or equivalent
