CNC Machinist II

Full time – Temp to hire

Monday thru Friday – 3:15pm to 11:45pm

$30hr to $35hr depending on experience.

 

An innovative manufacturer of highly engineered fluid and gas handling high pressure equipment designed to generate high pressures to store and control gases and liquids for a wide range of applications, is looking for CNC Machinist II to join their team in Burbank.

 

Summary: The CNC machinist is to make machine parts by using precision computer equipment. CNC machinists set up, adjust, and maintain the best-in-class nature of the equipment to enhance their routine job activities. CNC machinists review the programs and edit as needed to produce quality parts according to the drawings using CNC lathes and mills. Must have leadership experience.

 

Responsibilities:

• Set up, run and monitor computer-numeric-controlled machines.
• Ensure machines are operating correctly and pieces are cut to perfection.
• Review the first article parts against drawings or CAD models.
• Make CNC programs modification as needed.
• Deburr parts using hand tools.
• Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of tooling and fixtures.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Regularly clean and maintain machinery and equipment as needed.
• Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.

 

Qualifications:

• Leadership experience.  
• 5 years of CNC machinist experience.
• Ability to work overtime (OT).
• Ability to repeatedly bend, lift to install parts of various sizes in allotted time frame.
• Ability to handle and manipulate tooling and machinery as required.
• Ability to add, subtract and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Knowledge of CNC software basic PC knowledge.
