Express Employment Professionals in Maple Grove, MN has partnered with a Rogers company who is hiring Shear Operators!  The Shear Operator will be responsible for cutting sheet metal to precise specifications using power shears.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
• Evaluation-to-hire

Location and Work Environment

• Rogers, MN

Pay

• $22.00-$24.00/hour (0-2 years of experience)
• $24.00-$25.00/hour (3-5 years of experience)
• Weekly paychecks

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate mechanical shears to cut metal sheets accurately
• Read and interpret work orders, and material specifications
• Adjust back gauges for precise cuts
• Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards
• Handle and transport metal sheets safely to prevent damage
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures in a manufacturing environment

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift proficiency (required)
• Previous shear operation or metal-cutting machinery operation experience (preferred)
• Ability to read and use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Ability to lift and move metal sheets (up to 75 lbs.)
• Basic math skills
