HVAC&R Technician

Job Summary:
As an HVAC&R Technician you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial HVAC&R systems, with a focus on chillers and boilers. You will play a critical role in delivering preventative maintenance, identifying and resolving system issues, and supporting ongoing maintenance efforts to ensure optimal system performance for our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC&R systems to prevent dust/mold buildup, refrigerant leaks, and airflow issues.

• Establish and carry out ongoing maintenance schedules for aging systems, helping extend equipment lifespan and mitigate recurring issues.

• Diagnose and repair HVAC&R issues, including refrigerant leaks, electrical problems, and system malfunctions.

• Work on a variety of systems, including those installed by other vendors.

• Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of needed repairs and maintenance recommendations.

• Maintain accurate records of service visits, parts used, and work performed.

• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with commercial chillers and boilers.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC&R system components, diagnostics, and repair techniques.

• EPA Universal Certification required.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience servicing a wide range of commercial HVAC systems.

• Familiarity with digital work order systems and reporting tools.\
