Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating a bagging machine and other packaging equipment to ensure accurate and efficient packaging of products. This role includes regular quality checks, equipment setup, and general production support. Cross-training is provided, and associates may be assigned additional duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate bagging machine, including roll changes and machine set up

  • Perform weight and volume checks every 15 minutes to ensure accuracy

  • Complete daily production paperwork and logs accurately and on time

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and hygiene standards

  • Monitor packaging for; proper fill levels and seals, legible production lot codes, correct palletizing/wrapping & top sheet application

     

  • Inform supervision of any equipment issues, production delays, or personnel concerns

  • Participate in cross-training for other tasks and equipment operation as needed

  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a production or packaging environment preferred

    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

    • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks

    • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
