Position Summary:

The General Laborer is responsible for performing teardown, cleaning, inspection, recertification, and basic repair of various oilfield parts and equipment. This role supports the maintenance and operational efficiency of the shop by ensuring all parts meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform teardown of oilfield parts and equipment.
  • Clean and recertify parts to meet operational standards.
  • Inspect parts for defects and determine repair needs.
  • Rebuild and reassemble parts as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Expected Results:

  • Accurate and efficient teardown and rebuild of parts.
  • Timely and thorough inspection and recertification of parts.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Effective communication with team members and supervisors regarding deadlines and project needs.

Experience Required:

  • Previous oilfield or industrial experience required.
  • Familiarity with mechanical tools and equipment.

Qualities Required:

  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Willingness to train; basic mechanical aptitude required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 100lbs .
  • Carry 100 lbs at waist height for short distances.
  • Stand on concrete flooring for extended periods.
  • Crawl, bend, squat, and walk up to 2.5 miles per shift.
  • Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Use hand and power tools, pneumatic tools, grinders, and buffers.
  • Swing a 3-lb sledgehammer to loosen parts.
