Accountant Assistant
Location: Texarkana, TX
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $50,000–$60,000/year, depending on experience

A growing hospitality group with multiple hotel properties is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to oversee financial operations across several locations. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting activities for multiple hotel properties
• Prepare monthly financial statements, general ledgers, and bank reconciliations
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Handle full-cycle payroll processing including tax filings and quarterly/year-end reports
• Provide HR support such as onboarding paperwork, benefits tracking, and compliance documentation
• Prepare and file required tax reports including tourism, sales, liquor, and short-term rental taxes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
• Ensure compliance with brand, state, and federal financial and HR regulations
• Collaborate with hotel managers and company leadership on financial reviews and audits

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-entity businesses
• Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax reporting
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Familiarity with Arkansas and Texas tax regulations preferred
• Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to follow structured systems
