The Technical Support Engineer is primarily responsible for assisting in the pre-sale process by designing plant layouts per client specifications.

This is a direct hire role with full benefits!

Responsibilities:

Execute requirements for the general sales layout to assist in the pre-order phase of a project.
Initiates the quotation process by communicating with the Sales Manager, customer and internal departments to determine the project scope of supply.
Configures equipment in Sales Configurator per customer technical specifications for accurate quotations.
Establishes excellent communication between departments and the customer to ensure the scope of the project, layout designs and quotations are accurate and timely.
Prepares detailed plant layouts with respect to proper placement of requested scope of supply.
Plant visits are required to assist the sales team, evaluate existing facility for obstructions, measurements, and facility details related to the project scope of supply.
Obtains and documents customer’s approval of the final layout with sales team.
Generates order specification sheets required for each piece of equipment at the time of sale.
Works with project management team for a clean hand off from sales to project execution.
Maintains AutoCAD system by ensuring all equipment blocks are updated, as well as, hardware/software needs that may increase productivity or presentation of layout designs.
Provides technical information on equipment and complete systems to Sales Managers and customers.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s in engineering, Associate level in AutoCAD, or equivalent work experience.
3 years of drafting experience; preferably in food industry. Poultry Industry Experience a plus.
3years of equivalent knowledge; Complete comprehension of installation prints; Complete understanding of AutoCAD and layout drawing standards

Skill Sets:

Proven drafting capabilities
Excellent customer relations and communications skills
Self-starter with capability to work alone and/or on a team to meet demands
Time-management skills and attention to detail is critical
Understanding of plant processing facilities, preferably Poultry Industry Knowledge

Plant visits and travel required as needed.

Salary: $80,000-$90,000/year
