📦 Job Summary

The material handler is responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and tracking materials within warehouses, production facilities, or distribution centers. This role involves loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and preparing orders for delivery. Material handlers play a vital role in maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring timely fulfillment, and supporting overall logistics operations.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment

• Verify quantity and quality of incoming deliveries

• Label and organize products in designated storage areas

• Pull and stage materials for production or delivery

• Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels

• Handle returns and document discrepancies

• Keep work areas clean and equipment in good condition

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve delivery or inventory issues

• Follow safety procedures and report equipment malfunctions

📋 Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience in warehouse or logistics preferred

• Ability to lift heavy items and operate material handling equipment

• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

💡 Preferred Skills

• Forklift certification

• Familiarity with inventory management systems

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
