Full time – Temp to hire

Monday thru Friday – 7am to 3:30pm

$26hr to $32hr depending on experience.

 

High end machine shop providing services from blueprint, through tool making, final production and perfect assembly in short run, one-of-a-kind and major run projects, is seeking a CMM Inspector to join their team in Chatsworth.

 

Summary: Seeking an individual that can check complicated parts machined (milling and turning) and sheet metal. Someone that can conceptually foresee how the part will be made. Plating buildup and visual inspections.

 

Responsibilities:

• Program/operate Mitutoyo CMM
• Perform inspections using surface plate setups.
• Perform inspections using standard measuring tools.
• Generate AS9102 inspection reports.
• Analyze and interpret blueprints, models, evaluation sheets, manuals and other materials to determine
• specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods.
• Collect and analyze inspection data and make computations as necessary to determine inspection results
• and perform first article inspections.
• Communicate information to others about inspection results, part status, updates, specific instructions, etc.

 

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience with Zeiss Calypso software required.
• Able to use calipers, plug gauges, thread gauges, height gauges.
• Ability to read and understand complex mechanical drawings and 3D Models
• Functional understanding of GD&T, and Math (including Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry)
• Skilled in use of inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, surface gauges, height gages
• Computer Literate: Windows, Excel, Word and familiar with ERP software
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• 2 years of manufacturing inspection experience.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
