Mechanic II – Aircraft Engine Specialist

Position Type: Skilled, Experienced
Pay: $25-$35, depending on experience

Overview:

We are seeking a Mechanic II with strong hands-on experience in aircraft piston engine assembly and testing. This is a skilled position requiring minimal training—candidates must be ready to contribute to operations from day one.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience building aircraft piston engines.
• FAA certifications: A*, P, Repairman Certificate, or A&P* (highly desired but not required).
• Alternatively, 5+ years of industry experience with piston engines may substitute for certification.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in disassembly, inspection, assembly, and testing of engines or mechanical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Torque specifications
• Sealants and adhesives
• Precision measuring tools
• Engine operation and troubleshooting
• Must be proficient in at least one core area of engine or equipment build.

Ideal Candidate:

• May hold A&P and IA certifications (not mandatory).
• Has a solid background in piston engine mechanics.
• Can work independently and integrate quickly into existing workflows.
