Experienced Optometrist Technician

Located in Keller, TX

Salary: $18-22/hr DOE

We are hiring on behalf of a well-established optometry practice in Keller, TX, seeking an experienced Optometric Technician to join their clinical team.

This is a fast-paced, patient-facing role that requires prior hands-on experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting. The ideal candidate is confident in pre-testing, comfortable working alongside an optometrist, and thrives in a busy clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing and diagnostic procedures prior to patient exams

• Accurately collect, document, and input patient test data into charts and systems

• Serve as clinical support (line nurse role) for the attending optometrist

• Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures clearly and professionally

• Maintain a smooth, efficient patient flow throughout the clinic

• Deliver a warm, professional, and patient-first experience

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Optometric Technician is required

• Strong knowledge of pre-testing procedures and clinical workflows

• Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation skills

• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment

• Friendly, professional demeanor with strong patient interaction skills

• Comfortable being on your feet for the majority of the workday (approximately 90%) 

Position Details

• Full-time | Monday–Friday (no weekends)

• $18–$22 per hour, based on experience
