Electrical Engineer (Direct Hire)

The Specialized Recruiting Group is now partnered with a leading company to help them hire their next Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. This is a DIRECT HIRE role!

Job Summary/Company Information:

The Electrical Engineer will provide engineering and project management services across the entire manufacturing operation. This includes PLC and HMI programming, AC/DC drive configuration, cost estimation, drawing and specification design, contractor and equipment selection, and hands-on troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys both strategic planning and hands-on technical work.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and SQL-based data systems
Modify and test manufacturing process equipment; consult with equipment vendors
Maintain and troubleshoot automation instrumentation such as servo drives, VFDs, barcode/RFID readers, and I/O devices
Assist in the development of system solutions and troubleshoot connectivity issues affecting data collection
Support MES system configuration, testing, and debugging
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support automation projects

Pay/Benefits:

Up to $120,000 based on experience

Schedule:

This is a first shift position with typical hours being Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering Technology, or equivalent
5–7 years of experience in industrial electricity and controls
Strong understanding of analog, digital, and logic circuits
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, power distribution systems, and SCADA systems
Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI, OPC, and industrial networking
Preferred: experience with MES and Historian systems
Ability to install, commission, and modify automated equipment
Familiarity with ERP/MES integration and communication platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific applications
