We’re seeking a dedicated Treating Plant Operator to join a growing team in a mill setting. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity, with a Monday through Friday schedule and occasional weekend work. Apply with Express Employment Professionals to get started.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate treating equipment, including pumps, valves, and related software

• Mix chemical treatments and monitor processes to meet specifications

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently

• Complete required paperwork accurately

• Follow safety and environmental procedures at all times

• Work with the Quality Coordinator to maintain product standards

• Participate in safety meetings and required training

• Maintain detailed records of treatments and processes

• Follow proper washout and changeover procedures between treatments

 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Forklift experience required

• Comfortable with computer systems, including spreadsheets and email

• Strong understanding of measurements and basic math

• Ability to identify wood species, grades, and heartwood percentages

• Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights up to 50 ft

• Must be able to pass a respirator screening and wear a respirator when required

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally

• Willing to work in varying weather conditions (indoor/outdoor environment)
