Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to assemble garments or other textile products according to specifications. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a strong understanding of sewing techniques and fabric handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of sewing machines (e.g., single needle, overlock, coverstitch) to produce garments or textile products
• Read and interpret work orders, patterns, and sewing instructions
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and consistency
• Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and oiling
• Identify and report machine malfunctions or material defects
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow

Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm (1-4 week assignment) 

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proven experience as a sewing machine operator or in a similar role
• Familiarity with different types of fabrics and sewing techniques
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot industrial sewing machines
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Basic math and measurement skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in garment manufacturing or upholstery
• Knowledge of pattern reading and garment construction
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Work Environment:

• Factory or workshop setting
• Exposure to noise and fabric dust
• May require standing or sitting for long periods
