Security System Installation Technician

Located in Portland, OR

Looking for a hands-on job where every day is a little different? We're hiring a Security System Installation Technician to assist with installing surveillance and network systems at a business complex in Beaverton. You'll work directly alongside the company owner, learning the trade while helping install the wiring and equipment that keep businesses secure. The company completes projects throughout Oregon and Washington, offering excellent opportunities to gain valuable low-voltage installation experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with installing Cat6 network cabling throughout commercial buildings
• Run cable above drop ceilings using J-hooks, zip ties, and cable supports
• Work from 6-foot ladders to route and secure wiring
• Install IP security cameras, motion detectors, access control devices, and other surveillance equipment
• Mount cameras and hardware according to installation plans
• Use hand and power tools to complete installations safely and efficiently
• Test equipment and assist with troubleshooting as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety guidelines
