Manufacturing company in Grand Junction looking for Fabrication Prep workers ASAP. This is a long term evaluation hire with potential for advancing into a welding position.
$16.00 - 18.00 per hour DOE. Shift is 6:00am - 3:30pm.

1. Position Summary
Entry-level position, Performs fabrication tasks of general preparation for assembly, rolling, cutting, welding, grinding, sanding, filing and sawing.
2. Essential Job Functions
1. Prepare components for subassemblies from prints, and verbal descriptions by cutting, grinding, sanding, filing, welding, and rolling components as directed
2. Review all drawings for completeness, necessities, and understanding before beginning fabrication assignment.
3. Request materials needed for fabrication assignment (plate steel, flat bar, expanded metal etc.) shop supplies (tools, welding supplies, gas, and misc. supplies).
4. Perform inspections of equipment.
5. Perform inspections with foremen on parts and products to ensure compliance to prints and verbal direction and quality requirements.
