Forklift Operator – Unbalanced Loads

Express Employment Professionals is looking to hire a qualified Forklift Operator to work for one of the top distributors in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate has experience operating diesel and propane lifts moving 6,000-11,000 lbs unbalanced loads. Candidates that have experience transporting lumber and steel bundles are encouraged to apply. 1st  shifts with overtime are available.

Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator – Unbalanced Loads

• Operate diesel and propane sit down forklift transporting loads ranging from 6,000lbs-11,000lbs
• Transport bundles of metal, steel and lumber in the form or 15-20 foot stacks by balancing the unbalanced loads on forks
• Loading bundles from warehouse facility to flatbed trucks and containers completing about 60-100 turns per day
• Assist warehouse staff by performing labor tasks such as cleaning, repacking, stacking, wrapping or other tasks in the warehouse.

Requirements of the Forklift Operator – Unbalanced Loads

• 3 years of forklift experience in a high-volume warehouse setting
• Experience working in metal or lumber distribution is preferred
• Must be able to follow instruction and work with a team
• Overtime is required

Compensation for the Forklift Operator – Unbalanced Loads

• Full-time Salary: $18-20/hour
