Pay: $16/hour 

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm

 

 

Summary: 

As a Machine Operator Lead, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation. You will work closely with machine operators, the supervisor, and other relevant departments to guarantee that production targets are met and quality standards are maintained. It is crucial for this role to be bilingual in Spanish for effective communication with Spanish-speaking team members.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Run Morning Huddle
  
  • Begin the day by discussing work orders with the supervisor and machine operators.
  • Ensure that everyone is clear on the tasks and goals for the day.

• Supplies Management:

  • Verify that machine operators have the necessary supplies and materials to complete their orders.
  • Coordinate with the inventory department to maintain an adequate supply of materials.

• Team Coordination:

  • Keep the machine shop associates engaged and working efficiently.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to resolve any operational issues or challenges.

• Communication:

  • Maintain open and effective communication with the supervisor, keeping them informed of work progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the Receiving and Maintenance departments to address any material or equipment needs.

• Paperwork Management:

  • Print and organize necessary paperwork, including job orders, labels, and forms.
  • Ensure that all required documentation is complete and accurate.

• Data Entry:

  • Enter relevant information into the company's system, typically accounting for around 5% of your time.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and any other data required by the organization.

• Attention to Detail:

  • Be highly detail-oriented to guarantee the accuracy and quality of work, minimizing errors and defects.

Qualifications:

• Must be bilingual in Spanish for effective communication with Spanish-speaking team members.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in using basic computer software for data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
• Willingness to take the initiative and lead by example.
