Key Responsibilities

Staff Leadership & Development

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff performance
• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care
• Facilitate ongoing training, professional development, and competency assessments
• Promote a positive work environment that supports teamwork and accountability

Clinical Oversight

• Monitor patient care delivery to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and best practices
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and administrative staff to optimize care plans
• Address patient and family concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Support infection control, medication safety, and quality assurance initiatives

Operational Management

• Oversee daily unit operations, including resource allocation, documentation, and workflow efficiency
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS)
• Participate in audits, incident reviews, and performance improvement projects
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to departmental reporting

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Practical Nurse (PN/LPN) license in Florida
• 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a home health role
• Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, patient safety standards, and healthcare regulations
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Nursing Leadership or Management (e.g., NE-BC, CNML)
• Experience in acute care, long-term care, or specialty units (e.g., ICU, oncology, pediatrics)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus
