Forklift Driver/Equipment Operator 8am-4:30pm

Located in Port Murray, NJ

Salary: $19.87-23.84

Key Responsibilities:

1. Forklift Operation:

   • Operate a forklift (electric, propane, or diesel-powered) to move, load, unload, and stack goods in designated areas.
   • Ensure that the forklift is well-maintained, performing routine checks on fluid levels, tires, and other components.

2. Inventory Management:

   • Transport products to storage locations or production lines as per instructions.
   • Assist in managing inventory by conducting regular stock counts, marking stock items, and organizing the warehouse efficiently.

3. Safety and Compliance:

   • Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean and hazard-free environment.
   • Adhere to company procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
   • Comply with legal requirements and workplace safety standards.

4. Loading and Unloading:

   • Load goods onto trucks or containers in preparation for shipment.
   • Unload incoming deliveries, inspect the contents, and verify with order documents.

5. Reporting:

   • Report any issues with equipment or safety hazards to supervisors.
   • Keep accurate records of materials handled and moved.

6. Team Collaboration:

   • Communicate with warehouse managers, supervisors, and team members to ensure the smooth flow of goods.
   • Assist in other warehouse tasks, like sorting, packing, or organizing shipments.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Forklift Certification: Valid certification to operate forklifts.
• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is often preferred but may not always be required.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods.
• Attention to Detail: Careful handling of goods to avoid damage.
• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
