Pay: $18 – $22/hour (Based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Hardscape Laborer to join our team in Chelsea, MI. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience working on a hardscape crew and be confident in executing the basic steps of hardscape installation—including patios, retaining walls, walkways, and other outdoor features—without needing constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of patios, retaining walls, walkways, fire pits, and other hardscape features
• Read and follow site plans and layout instructions
• Operate hand tools and power equipment as needed
• Grade and prep job sites, including excavation and compaction
• Lay base materials and ensure proper compaction and leveling
• Install pavers, blocks, and other materials with attention to quality and detail
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow safety procedures and company protocols at all times

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience on a hardscape or landscape construction crew
• Familiarity with the full scope of hardscape installation tasks
• Ability to take direction but also work independently on basic project phases
• Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
