Summary
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative who brings both strong customer-facing skills and at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. You’ll manage order entry, handle customer inquiries, and coordinate across departments (Purchasing, Production, Shipping, Quality) to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction. Your efforts will be instrumental in maintaining smooth operations and promoting growth in existing accounts
Key Responsibilities
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email, delivering accurate and helpful information.
• Enter and process customer orders, including quotes, RFQs, change orders, and cancellations, using MRP/ERP systems.
• Maintain complete sales documentation—worksheets, drawings, inspection reports, and order confirmations.
• Monitor customer portals to manage orders and requests efficiently.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve order delays, product quality issues, shipping concerns, and pricing queries.
• Participate in weekly Production Planning Meetings to provide updates and flag potential issues.
• Proactively suggest improvements to order entry workflows, documentation accuracy, and response times.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and quality standards.
• Keep your workstation and records organized and professional.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in customer service, logistics, or manufacturing are a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with MRP or ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Oracle).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain high attention to detail.
• Skilled at problem-solving and comfortable working with tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking); bilingual candidates are welcome.
• Physical ability to sit or stand throughout your shift and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
