About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Shop Laborer to join our production team. This hands-on position involves operating machinery, preparing materials, and assisting with various fabrication tasks. Ideal candidates will have prior machine shop experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate drill press, stamp poles, and cut lumber to specified measurements
Follow shop drawings, instructions, and measurements accurately
Use basic hand tools, tape measures, calipers, and other measuring equipment
Perform manual tasks including walking, standing, bending, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. as needed
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Work closely with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently and accurately
Requirements:
Prior machine shop experience required
Proficiency in using basic hand tools and measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
Experience operating a drill press or lathe is preferred
Ability to read and interpret measurements and instructions
Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
