We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to efficiently move materials throughout the facility. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations in shipping, receiving, and order picking processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks, to transport materials within the warehouse.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Assist with order picking and packing to fulfill customer requests accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.
• Follow OSHA guidelines to promote a safe working environment for all employees.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve efficiency in material handling.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and order picking.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, particularly forklifts.
• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Valid forklift certification is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads and operate machinery safely.
