Express Employment Professionals Atlanta NE location has an immediate Part-time opportunity for an experienced Global Logistics Coordinator for a thriving and growing company in Atlanta NE area. 

 

Overview

A Global Logistics Coordinator manages and coordinates the movement of products across international borders, ensuring shipments are delivered on time, comply with all regulations, and support the company’s broader supply chain objectives. This role is essential and relies on global trade and requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage international shipments, working closely with vendors, shipping companies, customs brokers, and internal teams.
  • Provide status of in-bound shipments to Purchasing and Sourcing.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documents such as commercial invoices, bills of lading and airbills, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

 

  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to determine and maintain landed costs for all products.

 

  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to maintain a list of harmonized codes for all products

 

  • Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency
  • Monitor shipment status, track and manage logistics operations using reports by Ocean freight forwarder or generate from their dashboard
  • Communicate proactively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to provide updates and resolve inquiries
  • Ensure adherence to service agreements and operational best practices
  • Placing purchase orders
  • Monitoring in-bound shipments and adjust as needed to delivery dates.
  • Working with distribution center and accounting to address receipt discrepancies and resolving shipment discrepancies with suppliers
  • Printing of labels and packing lists
  • Inspecting receipts of newly launched products
  • Works closely with purchasing to manage transition and introduction to new products. Closely manage outgoing product inventory to ensure it is sold out.
  • Experience with drawback duties process

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
  • Must have several years of experience in logistics, international shipping, or freight forwarding
  • Proficiency with logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, especially for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle complex logistics challenges
