Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Located in Lincoln, NE

Salary: Up to $28/hr

Express Employment is looking for a Heavy Equipment Service technician.  This person will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems on heavy equipment and class B trucks.  This position must be detail-oriented, safety focused, and capable of diagnosing complex issues on a variety of equipment. This is a direct hire position. Pay up to $28/hr.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and repair various equipment (electrical, hydraulic, diesel, and mechanical systems)
• Perform general maintenance tasks
• Weld and/or fabricate attachments or parts
• Participate in on-the-job training to master troubleshooting, repairing, and modification of specialized heavy equipment
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers

Qualifications / Requirement

• Mechanic experience in servicing and repairing heavy equipment with knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Require experience welding and/or fabrication
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to regularly lift to 50 pounds and engage in frequent bending, squatting, and lifting
