Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a prominent manufacturing organization to place a seasoned accounting professional in a vital role. We are looking for an Accountant II or Accountant III who brings advanced expertise in manufacturing accounting, inventory reconciliation, and cost analysis. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, cross-border environment and is passionate about driving financial clarity and operational excellence.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and manufacturing cost data

• Reconcile sub-ledger inventory records to the general ledger; prepare and post journal entries

• Analyze data flow between inventory systems (GMS) and financial systems (Oracle)

• Monitor internal controls related to inventory; identify and report deficiencies

• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to resolve inventory discrepancies

• Perform statistical and trend analysis; prepare variance reports with clear narratives

• Evaluate and reconcile inventory reserves; ensure adequacy and compliance

• Recommend and support accounting process improvements and efficiency initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)

• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting

• Deep understanding of balance sheet, income statement, and inventory-related accounting

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced)

• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Oracle Financials and GMS

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

• Working knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is a plus

• Must be able to travel regularly to the Reynosa manufacturing facility
