Courts Clerk II

Salary: $18-20/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Court Clerk - II to join a Local Company of the East Texas area. 

This role provides oversight of the duties performed by Court Clerk I and ensures the accurate preparation and maintenance of various legal documents and records, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly court reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain legal documents and records, including court reports.
• Collect and record fees, fines, and other court-related payments.
• Provide general informational assistance to the public regarding filing requirements, timelines, procedures, and scheduling.
• Cross-train in various court functions to support operations as needed.
• Assist the Municipal Judge in court operations, including running reports, processing expenditures, and managing administrative tasks.
• Facilitate court budget administration and handle expenditure processing.
• Manage computer-related court issues and ensure efficient workflow.
• Process Failure to Appear (FTA)/Capias Pro Fine warrants, including warrant issuance, mailing pre-warrant notices, and filing records.
• Maintain an understanding of relevant state and local laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
• Assist the public with retrieving case information, scheduling court dates, processing extensions, and resolving concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years Experience
• Associate's degree in an applicable field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong knowledge of court procedures, legal documentation, and regulations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
