Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Auto Body Shop Assistant to support daily operations in a busy and detail-focused body shop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn the trade and grow their skills in auto body repair, fabrication, and painting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with minor fabrication, sanding, paint prep, and auto body filling
• Support the shop owner with various tasks to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
• Operate tools such as sanders, grinders, and spray guns
• Stand, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the workday
• Be a “sponge” for knowledge—observe, ask questions, and apply what you learn

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sanding, painting prep, or working in an auto body shop
• Quick learner with a strong desire to develop in the trade
• Reliable, punctual, and focused—not distracted by phone use
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Positive attitude and willingness to take direction
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
