Location: Brighton, MI (1 position) & Newcastle, DE (1 position)
Pay: $29.58/hr (Flexible based on experience; 10% cost-of-living increase for relocation to DE)

About the Role:

We are seeking two Shop Technicians to join our team, specializing in the repair and rebuilding of precision control equipment. The role involves working on a variety of electrical and mechanical control equipment for gas, diesel engine, and steam turbine-driven systems.

• One candidate will be based in Brighton, MI.
• The other candidate will undergo training in Brighton, MI for a year before relocating to Newcastle, DE (relocation assistance provided).

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and remanufacture hydraulic mechanical, electric, electronic, and digital control equipment.
• Read and interpret technical manuals to perform precision work on intricate components.
• Utilize skills in machining, welding, statistical process control, general fabrication, and blueprint reading.
• Conduct shop and occasional field service troubleshooting and repairs (10-20% travel required).
• Apply knowledge of AC/DC circuits, pneumatics, hydraulics, and instrumentation.
• Use measurement tools to ensure precision assembly and repairs.
• Document work performed and maintain detailed rebuild records.

Work Schedule & Overtime:

• Flexible start and finish times: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM start / 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM finish
• Overtime may be required based on workload.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or similar technical field OR hands-on experience in rebuilding hydraulic mechanical servos and hydraulic systems.
• Experience: 2+ years post-education OR strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley and Arduino PLCs (preferred but not required).
• High mechanical and electrical aptitude (testing required).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a precision-driven environment.

Compensation:

• Pay: up to $29.58/hr
