Job Summary:
We are currently hiring a motivated and detail-oriented individual for a 2nd Shift role focused on preparing, inspecting, and shipping aluminum shafts. This position will rotate between polishing, tapering assistance, shaft straightening, and shipping, offering a hands-on opportunity to work with precision products in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Polisher / Final Prep:

• Inspect aluminum shafts for dents, damage, or defects

• Use tools to grind, router, and remove dents

• Prepare and protect finished shafts for shipment per work instructions

• Maintain high-quality standards in every product handled

Tapering Assistant:

• Move aluminum shafts using carts or cranes

• Assist with tapering process and remove shaft from machine after completion

• Use hand tools to remove bells and cut hand hole openings in poles

Straightening Operator:

• Run and monitor the shaft straightening press

• Inspect and evaluate shaft straightness

• Set up equipment per work instructions and quality specifications

• Alert lead on defective or damaged materials

Shipping Department:

• Inspect, machine, and finish aluminum poles

• Drill and install components as required

• Bundle, crate, and wrap products for shipping to avoid freight damage

• Load finished products onto trucks for delivery

Requirements:

• Familiarity with radial saws, hand tools, and overhead cranes preferred

• Ability to wear all required PPE and follow strict safety protocols

• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments and outdoors

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs when needed

• Willingness to assist in multiple departments as needed

• Good communication and team-oriented attitude

• Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus
