Position Overview:
Seeking a skilled and dependable Propane Service Technician to join our team. This role is based in Billings, Montana, but involves extensive travel throughout the state and interstate regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in a variety of environments.

 

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required depending on workload and service demands.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair propane systems and equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections and leak tests.
• Perform tank inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
• Diagnose and repair meter systems, including calibration and certification.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on job sites.
• Provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding propane system usage, maintenance, and safety precautions.
• Travel extensively for service calls, often requiring overnight stays.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CDL (preferred) and DOT physical care (REQUIRED)
• Strong knowledge of propane systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Experience in propane service, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and mechanical systems.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness and ability to obtain any necessary licenses or training credentials. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
